There’s always A Way Out!

✨
In Matthew 6 Jesus teaches about prayer. This morning “and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil…” was something I had read for years but it really stood out
✨
I felt convicted to ask God to forgive me for the times I thought and spoke words like “I can’t help myself I HAD TO eat this or do that” or “this is too much “ “this is too hard”
✨
The promise is that there is no temptation more than what I can handle. 1 Corinthians 10:13
✨
Temptation can be thoughts 💭 not aligned to God’s promises.
✨
Temptation can be a response that isn’t loving or like the character of God
✨
Temptation can be speaking lack and defeat and “I can’t”
✨
I think I’ve reduced this to temptations I can see like food that isn’t good for me but I’m realizing we can also be tempted in the way we think and drawn away from Gods plan by what we speak.
✨
Today I’m going to monitor my thinking and when I’m tempted to think or respond in a way that doesn’t reflect God’s word or character; I will look for the promised escape.
✨
If God brings us to it ; it cannot be too much for us.
It is a demand on us to grow
